Dashcam video shows spectacular crash on Decarie Expressway; police investigating 

Quebec Provincial police (SQ) are investigating after a vehicle rolled over on the Decarie Expressway when it was hit from behind, though no one was injured.

Police are investigating after a vehicle rolled over after being hit from behind by another car on the Decarie Expressway last week.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) said the crash happened at around 10:45 p.m. on Sept. 30.

A dashcam video obtained by CTV News shows a car veering from one lane to another at high speed and crashing into the vehicle in front of it. The car that was hit rolls over on its roof and slides across the highway until it comes to a stop upside down.

SQ spokesperson Sgt. Laurie Avoine said no one was injured in the crash and that the driver who crashed into the other vehicle remained at the scene.

Police are not confirming whether or not anyone was arrested, citing the ongoing investigation.

“I would like to remind road users that they can always contact us if they are involved in or witness reckless behavior. We will then be able to take appropriate action,” Avoine said.
