Quebec provincial police are investigating after a body was found inside a burning vehicle in Lac-Brome, about an hour away from Montreal, on Sunday.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) received a 911 call about the vehicle on fire on Moffat Street at 9:45 p.m.

When officers arrived on site, they found the body, according to Noovo Info.

The person’s death was pronounced at the scene, and their identity has yet to be confirmed.

Investigators and forensic technicians are at the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
