Warm, windy start gives way to unsettled stretch in London, Ont.

A warm and breezy start to the week in southwestern Ontario will give way to a cooler, unsettled pattern with intermittent showers through the workweek.

Conditions today are expected to be sunny, with southwest winds at 20 km/h gusting to 50, increasing to 40 km/h with gusts up to 60 by the afternoon. The high will reach 22 C, with a UV index of 6, or high.

Cloud will increase tonight, bringing a 60 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms. Winds will remain from the southwest at 30 km/h, gusting to 50. The overnight low will dip to 11 C.

Tuesday will be mainly cloudy, with a 60 per cent chance of morning showers and steadier rain developing around noon. Winds will shift from southwest at 20 km/h gusting to 40 to northwest at 20 km/h later in the morning. The daytime high will cool to 15 C, with a UV index of 4, or moderate. Showers will continue Tuesday night as temperatures fall to about 4 C.

Midweek conditions remain on the cool side. Wednesday will be cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high near 11 C. Cloudy periods persist overnight with a low of about 2 C.
