2 women remain in hospital as London police appeal to public for information after frat house fire

A fire broke out at a Western University frat house located in the area of Richmond and Cheapside streets in London, Ont. on Dec. 2, 2025

Two women remain in hospital Thursday as a result of injuries they sustained after a fire broke out at a frat house earlier in the week.

According to a news release from the London Police Service, on Tuesday at approximately 11:40 p.m., emergency services responded to a fire at a residence in the area of the Richmond and Cheapside streets.

The three storey residence is home of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, also known as Pike.

Upon arrival police located six people with injuries resulting from the fire.

Paramedic services transported five women to hospital with injuries varying from minor to serious in nature.

One man was attended to by paramedics with minor injuries and did not need to be transported to hospital.

As of Thursday, police say two of the women remain in hospital.

The extent of their injuries and the cause of the fire remain unknown at this time.

The investigation has been reassigned to the LPS Patrol Operations Investigative Section and remains ongoing.

Investigators ask anyone that may have information in relation to the investigation or that may have been injured but left before emergency services arrived to contact the London Police Service.

Police say more information will be provided as it becomes available.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to call the London Police Service at [phone] or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
