Two vehicles destroyed by fire on Proudfoot Lane

Two vehicles were destroyed after a fire early Tuesday that London police are treating as suspicious.

Fire crews were called to 595 Proudfoot Lane around 3:30 a.m. after two vehicles were spotted in flames.

The fire reportedly started in a 2007 BMW before spreading to a 2005 Ford Focus that was parked beside it.

The driver of a pickup parked on the other side was able to move the vehicle before it also caught fire.

One witness says she woke up to the sound of a big bang around 3 a.m. and saw the fire while a vehicle drove away quickly.

The London police Auto/Arson Unit is continuing to investigate.
