Two hospitalized after crash shuts down Highway 59 in Oxford County

OPP shut down Highway 59 south of Woodstock for two vehicle crash early Tuesday morning.

Injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening after a crash on Highway 59 in Oxford County on Tuesday morning.

Around 7:40 a.m., emergency services as well as ORNG, were called to the two-vehicle collision just south of Woodstock.

According to police, two vehicles, a passenger vehicle and a pick-up truck, collided on Highway 59 between Curries Road and Gunn’s Hill Road in Norwich Township.

The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to hospital by ORNG with undetermined injuries.

Highway 59 between Curries Road and Gunn’s Hill Road was closed for about five hours but has since reopened.
