The annual ‘Tenant Support Fair’ was held at city hall Friday afternoon. This was the event’s third year, connecting renters with more than a dozen agencies. It’s geared to low-income renters in need of advice, resources, and/or legal support. It’s all coordinated by the social agency ‘LifeSpin.’ The group’s executive director says their goal each year is to improve service for tenants. “We’ve learned that this is a really great opportunity to bring together lots of different organizations all in one room,” said Meagen Ciufo. “So, if we aren’t the one that provide the right resource, we can say, ‘Hey, just across the room, that’s who you want to speak to.’” “It’s just very eye opening and very informative as to what’s going on in London and Ontario as a whole with housing. There’s very big instability within housing and very high cost of housing, and people do need help and people do need support,” said Jacqueline Solomon, the fair’s co-organizer.
