Temperatures drop to near freezing, cloudy weekend ahead

Thursday night brings chilly temperatures, dropping to 1.

The cold night foreshadows a colder weekend.

Within the next few days, “we could even see the first snowflakes,” said CTV London’s meteorologist Julie Atchison.

Friday morning warms up to a high of 11, bringing gusty weather and a 40 per cent chance of light rain.

Rain is expected in the morning, becoming a light drizzle by afternoon.

“The coldest air of the season will arrive in Arctic front, pushing through over the weekend could lead to accumulating snow in parts of Midwestern Ontario,” said Atchison.

Sunday drops down to a low of -3 overnight.

Friday: Becoming cloudy in the morning then rain changing to 40 per cent chance of drizzle in the afternoon. Wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40. High 11.

Sunday: Rain or snow. High plus 3.

Monday: Cloudy with 30 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers. Windy. High plus 1.

Tuesday: Cloudy. High plus 3.
