St. Thomas Police Service launched an initiative Thursday focused on violations involving e-scooters and e-bikes. According to police the initiative comes after several residents voiced their concerns. They said it will focus on e-bikes and e-scooters being operated dangerously or contrary to provincial and municipal laws on local roads, side walks, and trails. “We’re trying to just get ahead of this,” said Matthew Lobsinger with St. Thomas Police Services. “This is equal parts of an education as it is enforcement, and really just making sure that people understand the rules around these things, to keep everyone safe before something bad happens.”
