St. Thomas police clear scene after break and enter prompts heavy police presence

There was a large police presence in St. Thomas after an early morning break and enter at a cannabis store.

Police in St. Thomas have cleared an area around the Homedale Plaza.

As part of what was being described as an “active investigation,” police were asking the public to avoid the area of Churchill Crescent and Fifth Avenue.

On Monday moring, police reported a break and enter incident that happened just after 7:30 a.m.

According to police, residents could expect to see a police presence in the surrounding areas.

A suspect, described a man, wearing all black, carrying a blue grocery bag was seen running from the area.

Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
