Showers and strong winds Wednesday

This week’s sunny spell is over as showers move into the area Wednesday.

Light rainfall will start the day in Grey and Bruce County, and drift into the London area early afternoon.

Winds pick up from the southwest but shift to the northwest as a cold front pushes through.

Despite the wind and rain, temperatures reach 15.

“So, temperatures today on the milder side of what is normal for this time of year, but some cooler air will come in behind this weather system and we’ll see temperatures dropping off a bit as we head into Thursday,” said CTV London’s meteorologist Julie Atchison.

Clouds and rain will break for Thursday with mainly sunshine, although temperatures drop to a high of 9.

The weekend brings “a blast of very cold air,” said Atchison. This means winter weather is on the way, with a chance of snow around Midwestern Ontario.

Thursday: Sunny. High 9.

Friday: Cloudy with 70 per cent chance of rain. High 10.

Saturday: Cloudy. High 7.

Sunday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. High plus 5.
