Sarnia Police arrested a suspect on Thursday, after he allegedly punched a security guard in the face before fleeing a retail location. The suspect entered a retail store on Quinn Drive, selected a jacket and was observed trying to rip off the tag by the security guard. When a security guard attempted to stop him, the suspect punched the guard in the face. Police say the assaulted guard was uninjured. Officers found the suspect on Exmouth Street, and he was arrested. The man is facing charges of robbery with theft and fail to comply with probation. After a bail hearing, he remains in custody. According to Sarnia Police, this is their 26th interaction with the suspect in the past year, including nine arrests and 16 charges. Eight of the charges were for violating court-imposed conditions.
