Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the London area. The forecaster predicts rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres. The ground may have little ability to absorb further moisture due to recent rainfall events. It is expected to rain Saturday during the day and into the evening. A Colorado low is bringing the heavy rain to the area. The heaviest rain is expected to fall Saturday evening and overnight, with locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times. Avoid low-lying areas. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
