One man has been charged by police after drugs, guns and money were found in a London residence. OPP carried out a search warrant on Dec. 18 in relation to an Elgin County investigation, finding large quantities of cocaine, two handguns and over $5,000. Multiple units assisted with the search, including Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit and West Region Emergency Response Unit. A 28-year-old suspect was charged by police with possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon at unauthorized place, careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine (controlled drugs and substances act). He’s expected to appear in court Dec. 22 and is currently being held for bail.
