Police seek suspects involved in downtown carjacking, assault

London police are looking to identify several suspects involved in a downtown carjacking.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. on May 11 in the 600-block of Richmond Street.

According to police, a man was assaulted by an unknown woman after leaving a business. The victim proceeded to walk away, but was followed by four additional unknown women, and all five women allegedly began assaulting him.

The victim eventually was able to run away to safety, but when he later returned to his car, police say one of the women approached the driver side door with a male and pulled the suspect out of the car.

Then, the male suspect and two female suspects continued to assault the victim while another female drove off in the victim’s car, according to police.

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assaults.

The stolen vehicle was located the following day on Bedford Road.
