Police look to identify suspects in distraction theft incident

Oxford County OPP are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into a ‘distraction theft.’

According to police, the incident happened at the Oxford Mini Mart located on Lisgar Avenue, in the Town of Tillsonburg, around 8 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Police say suspects distracted the store employee and stole a sum of money.

Oxford OPP are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Additionally, police would like to offer some advice to citizens to help prevent these types of thefts. They advise you to remain vigilant in public spaces, keep personal belongings secure, and report any suspicious behaviour.
