One injured in Sarnia firearms incident

Sarnia police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night south of the city.

Police said a 19 year old was shot at a home on White Circle (Aamjiwnaang First Nation).

Police responded to the scene in the area of White Circle and Tashmoo Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Two other 19 year olds were arrested nearby.

They face multiple weapons charges.

“There is no risk to the public safety. The people that are responsible have been brought in to custody, as well as the victim and the accused persons are known to each other. So this is an isolated incident,” said Sarnia police Insp. Michael Vansickle.
