Not quite a winter wonderland as special weather statement continues

As the first real snowfall of the season moves in, London remains under a special weather statement from Environment Canada on Sunday.

Accumulating snowfall is expected throughout the day, reaching amounts of five to 10 centimetres.

Drivers are warned of difficult driving conditions, with a mixture of snow and winds gusting up to 50 km/h.

Overnight, temperatures will reach -4, but will feel much colder at -10 with a wind chill.

For those excited to see a dusting of snow this morning, Monday and Tuesday are expected to bring more flurries, with a risk of snow squalls Monday afternoon.

Sunday: Snow. Amount 5 cm. Wind northeast 30 km/h gusting to 50. High plus 1.

Sunday night: Snow ending this evening then partly cloudy with 40 per cent chance of flurries. Wind north 20 km/h gusting to 40. Low minus 4. Wind chill minus 10 overnight.

Monday: A mix of sun and cloud with 40 per cent chance of flurries in the morning and early in the afternoon. Flurries beginning early in the afternoon. Risk of snow squalls west of London in the afternoon. Local amount 5 cm west of London. Wind north 20 km/h gusting to 40. High minus 1. Wind chill near minus 10.

Tuesday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of flurries or snow squalls. High plus 2.

Wednesday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. High plus 5.

Thursday: Cloudy. High plus 5.

Friday: Cloudy. High 7.
