A man has been charged after assaulting a police officer in Tillsonburg on Dec. 26. At about 11 p.m., police responded to reports of a disturbance on Bidwell Street involving one person. One of the responding officers was assaulted by a 65-year-old from London. Police say there were no injuries as a result, and the individual has been charged with assault a peace officer. The suspect is expected to appear in court on Feb. 24.
