Lucan-Biddulph mayor not seeking re-election

Lucan-Biddulph Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson announces she is not running for re-election this fall.

The mayor of Lucan-Biddulph says she will not seek re-election this fall.

Cathy Burghardt-Jesson posted her intentions on social media without providing a specific reason for the decision, only saying it was no made easily.

This is Burghardt-Jesson’s third mayoral term.

She also ran for the liberals in the most recent provincial election, finishing second in the Lambton-Kent-Middlesex riding with about 25 per cent of the vote.
