London’s unemployment rate continues to rise

The October job numbers from Statistics Canada are out.

This October, London’s jobless rate rose slightly, an ongoing trend over the past three months.

According to Stats Can, the rate now sits at 6.5 per cent, as opposed to 6.2 per cent in September.

However, the rate is still .5 per cent below the national average, which has remained at 7 per cent for the past two months.

June saw the highest unemployment rate this year at 7.2 per cent.
