Police charged a London resident after a seizure of over $4 million worth of drugs in the township of Plympton-Wyoming on Tuesday. Just before 1:30 p.m., an MTO commercial motor vehicle inspection alerted police to attend MTO scales located off Highway 402 in Plympton-Wyoming. When police arrived, they seized over 137kg of suspected cocaine valued over $4 million, along with Canadian and US currency and other offence-related items. The 43-year-old London resident was charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and import schedule I substance – cocaine. The suspect is remanded in custody until Dec. 30.
