Dashcam captures SUV nearly hitting kids outside Listowel

Kayleen Cote could hardly believe her eyes after she watched a white SUV that passed her on Wednesday morning lose control, and almost hit two children standing on the side of the road.

The near-miss happened Wednesday morning around 8:40 a.m. on Perth Line 86 between Listowel and Wallenstein, near the village of Macton.

Cote’s dashcam captured the entire ordeal, which saw the vehicle careen toward the children on the side of the road before avoiding them at the last second.

The out of control vehicle did not stop. Cote did, to check on the children who were not injured.

Cote said she’s turned the footage over the Ontario Provincial Police in hopes of identifying the driver.
