Cloudy, cool conditions overnight ahead of week of ‘active weather’

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has the details of your full weather forecast.

A low-pressure system is keeping the region cloudy overnight with temperatures close to minus 9 expected around London, but closer to minus 2 along the lakeshore.

“Our next weather system coming in with a bit of a rain snow mix as we head into [Tuesday] mid morning in through midwestern Ontario,” explained CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “So, you can see temperatures will start to come up just a bit to near the freezing mark and above.”

Atchison added that the London region won’t see much in measurable moisture, but southern Grey and northern Bruce counties will pick up the snowfall heading through the late afternoon.

“We’ll be back into some flurries by Wednesday afternoon with the risk of snow squalls developing,” Atchison continued. “So, we have a week with some active weather coming our way.”

Monday night: Cloudy with 30 per cent chance of flurries. Wind southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light early this evening. Wind becoming south 20 before morning. Low minus 2. Wind chill near minus 8.

Tuesday: Cloudy. Periods of snow or rain beginning in the afternoon. Wind south 40 km/h gusting to 60. High plus 3. Wind chill minus 8 in the morning.

Wednesday: Periods of rain or snow. High plus 2.

Thursday: A mix of sun and cloud with 60 per cent chance of flurries or snow squalls. High minus 8.

Friday: Cloudy with 30 per cent chance of flurries. High minus 4.

Saturday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of snow. High minus 4.

Sunday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of flurries. High minus 7.
