WARNING: the content and video in this article may be disturbing to some readers. Sarnia Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a suspect after a hit and run on Tuesday. At approximately 8:30 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Talfourd Street and Queen Street after a driver hit a pedestrian and fled the scene. Video released by police shows a red or maroon SUV travelling westbound on Talfourd Street, turning left onto Queen Street and striking a pedestrian on a crosswalk. Although the driver exited the car to look at the victim, they quickly returned to the vehicle, reversed back onto Talfourd Street and sped off. The 54-year-old victim was treated on scene and brought to Bluewater Health for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver is described as wearing light brown boots, blue jeans, a gray trench coat and a white ball hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarnia Police.
