An Aylmer police officer has been charged with careless driving after their involvement in a collision last year. According to police, the collision occurred on Dec. 3, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m. near Talbot and John Street. The officer, a six-year member of the service, and three other people were brought to hospital. The officer was treated for minor injuries, and three people were assessed as a precaution. Aylmer Police Service requested St. Thomas Police investigate the incident, leading to one charge of careless driving against the officer.
