Assault of a peace officer charge laid in Ingersoll

An assault of a peace officer charge was laid in Ingersoll early Friday morning.

Around 5 a.m., OPP were called to a disturbance at an address on Albert Street in the town.

One of the responding officers interacted with the people involved, which led to a person allegedly assaulting an officer.

A 37-year-old Ingersoll man is now charged with assaulting a peace officer.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
