Arrest made in London’s first homicide of 2026

An arrest has been made in a stabbing that claimed the life of a London man earlier this week.

An arrest has been made in the stabbing death of a London man.

Around 10:35 p.m., on Monday, police were called to the area of Dundas Street near Hewitt Street after receiving several 911 calls.

When they got there, officers found an unresponsive man in a hallway of an apartment building.

Life-saving efforts were used until paramedics arrived to transport the victim to hospital where he later died.

Robert Mitchell Cornelius, 38, of London has been charged with one count of second degree murder.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today. The investigation remains ongoing.
