2-vehicle crash in Huron County sends 6 to hospital

Six people were sent to hospital on Thursday after two SUVs collided near Seaforth.

A road closure remains in effect after a serious collision involving two SUVs sent six people to hospital on Thursday.

North Line and Roxboro Line was closed between Winthrop Road and Bridge Road, just north of Seaforth after the collision Thursday afternoon. The road has since reopened.

Police say one SUV crashed into the side of the second SUV, resulting in injuries to all six occupants of both vehicles.

Police say the six people have been sent to hospital including three adults and three youths.

Two people were airlifted to London due to serious injuries, and one person was also taken to London hospital via ambulance with serious injuries.

Police say five people were inside one SUV, while a driver was the lone occupant of the second SUV.

The roadway is expected to be closed for the next several hours while police investigate.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and more information will be provided when it becomes available.

Earlier this month, two students were injured when the school bus they were on was involved in a crash in the same area.
