Guelph Police say three of their officers were attacked while trying to arrest a 31-year-old woman. On Wednesday, just after 7 p.m., a disturbance was reported at Speedvale Avenue East and Marlborough Road. Police said they encountered a woman who was “irate and confrontational.” When they tried to arrest her, she allegedly kicked one of the officers. Police said they took the woman to the hospital for an assessment, where she continued to be “confrontational.” She allegedly scratched another officer’s arm before throwing urine at a third officer. Police said it got on his pants and shoes. The 31-year-old was charged with three counts of assaulting police.
