Three security officers at Guelph hospital assaulted

A Guelph man has been charged after three security officers at Guelph General Hospital were assaulted.

Guelph Police Service officers were called to the hospital after a patient had been discharged but refused to leave.

When he was asked to leave, he threatened three security officers and lunged at them. A fight ensued and one of the officers was punched in the face and poked in the eye before the man had been restrained.

The 31-year-old man was charged with three counts of assault, uttering threats and breaching a probation order.
