A tracking app helped local police recover a stolen vehicle, leading to a confrontation and the arrest of three people. Guelph police say they received a report that a vehicle stolen earlier in the day from Mississauga, Ont., was being tracked via a manufacturer’s app to a location in Guelph. Officers found the vehicle outside a business on Stone Road. Police said the engine was running and there was a driver inside. When police attempted to block the vehicle, the driver drove into the police vehicles. Minutes later, three individuals believed to be associated with the driver walked out of a nearby business and were detained for questioning. They were then arrested and face charges including possession of stolen property, possession of a weapon, breach of probation and obstructing police.
