A 38-year-old Guelph man has been charged after a female was threatened in a parking lot. The Guelph Police Service said they were called to Stone Road West just after 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. The victim told officers a man armed with a weapon had approached and threatened her. When she called police, the man ran off, but he was arrested a short distance away. They said a screwdriver was seized. The 38-year-old has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and breach of a probation order.
