Guelph Police are investigating after more than $1,600 of railway equipment was stolen from a storage container. Railway staff called police on Monday, informing them of a break-in over the weekend near Victoria Road South and York Road. They said the locks had been removed from the container and a specialized yellow hydraulic jack used to raise tracks, as well as a box of aluminum signs, were stolen.
