Guelph Police have arrested a woman who allegedly threatened an employee with a knife. It happened around noon on Friday at a store near Norfolk Street and Quebec Street. The employee said she recognized the woman as she had stolen from the store previously. “The clerk asked her to leave and the woman became upset and removed a knife from her pocket, unfolding it and waving it towards the clerk before leaving the store,” a media release said. She was arrested not far from the business. The 22-year-old Guelph woman was charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.
