A 19-year-old Guelph man has been charged after a fight at a downtown business. Emergency services were called to Wyndham Street North and Macdonell Street just before midnight on Thursday. The Guelph Police Service said several males had been involved in a physical altercation, and one person’s head was slammed into a counter, leaving him unconscious. Police said the unconscious male was punched several times in the face and head and “stomped on repeatedly.” He was taken to the hospital. A Guelph man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
