Waterloo Regional Police responding to multiple crashes

Drivers are being urged to be careful on the roads as the Waterloo Regional Police Service respond to several crashes.

“We are currently responding to an increase in calls for service due to snow and wind conditions across the region,” the Waterloo Regional Police Service said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday afternoon.

In a social media post published at 2:04 p.m., police said Line 86 in Wellington Township was closed between Chalmer Forest and Wellington Road 111 due to a collision.

Less than half an hour later, police said Arthur Street in Woolwich Township was also closed in the Listowel Road area for a separate collision. That road reopened around 4:26 p.m.

At 2:36 p.m., police announced they were also in the Cedar Creek and Trussler Road area in North Dumfries after a multi-vehicle crash was reported there.

At 4:03 p.m., police also closed Fischer Hallman Road between Wallaceton Way and Huron Road for a crash. The road reopened around 6:53 p.m.
