UNIQLO is opening a store at Conestoga Mall

UNIQLO is coming to Waterloo.

The Japanese retailer said it will be opening five new Canadian stores this fall, including one at Conestoga Mall.

The other locations are Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill, Tsawwassen Mills in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, Quebec, and St. Vital Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

UNIQLO got its start in Hiroshima in 1984 and is gaining in popularity with shoppers seeking affordable basics for both adults and children. The company now has more than 2,500 stores worldwide.

With Tuesday’s announcement, UNIQLO’s Canadian footprint has explanded to 42 stores.
