Police seize drugs, money and a gun in Kitchener bust

A trafficking investigation has led to three arrests and the seizure of drugs, money and a gun.

Waterloo Regional Police said their investigation, which launched last July, determined that two 36-year-olds, a man and woman, as well as a 48-year-old man, were all linked to a drug trafficking operation both within and outside of Waterloo Region.

On Dec. 30, police executed search warrants at two homes connected to the investigation.

They seized seven kilograms of suspected Methamphetamine, a gun, fentanyl, cocaine, opiates in pill form, psilocybin, marijuana and cash.

The two 36-year-olds were each charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession for the purpose of sale distribution, illegal possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.

The 48-year-old was charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession for the purpose of sale distribution.

Police also thanked the Sarnia Police Service for their help with the investigation.
