Photo released of person of interest in targeted Kitchener robbery

Waterloo Regional Police are looking to speak to an individual that may have information about a violent person-on-person robbery in Kitchener.

On Jan. 2, police were called to the area of Victoria Street South and Westmount Road West for a reported robbery around 1 a.m.

At a location on Mooregate Crescent, officers found a man who had been injured with a baseball bat. The victim told police some of his personal belongings were also taken from him.

Police released a photo of a person they said may be connected to the incident.
