A person has died following a crash west of New Hamburg. The Ontario Provincial Police announced the closure of Highway 8 between Line 102 and Line 106 around 3:14 p.m. Tuesday. They later confirmed the highway was closed for a collision involving a motorcycle and two passenger vehicles. “One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, and three individuals have been transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” an update from the OPP said at 4:20 p.m. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
