A person from Waterloo is facing charges after a traffic stop in North Perth prompted officers to search a home in the city. Ontario Provincial Police searched the home on Saturday after the traffic stop. They found suspected morphine and methamphetamine worth a combined $3,000 following both incidents. The driver’s vehicle was also seized along with “numerous weapons.” The Waterloo resident was charged with possession of a schedule I substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order.
