Male and female wanted for Uptown Waterloo assault

Waterloo Regional Police say two people were assaulted in Uptown Waterloo on Sunday.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. near King Street North and Princess Street.

Police said the male victims were approached by two strangers, one male and the other female.

“A physical altercation ensued during which the suspects attempted to harm the victims with a knife,” they explained in a media release on Monday.

No serious injuries were reported and the suspects fled the area on foot.

Police said their search continues for the male and female involved in the incident.
