Calgary police say speed is being investigated as a factor in a crash in the community of Southview on Wednesday that sent a woman to hospital. Police say the driver of a Volkswagen SUV collided with two parked vehicles in the 2500 block of 26 Street S.E. just after 3:30 a.m. Paramedics rushed the driver to hospital in critical condition. Mahan Jadidi, who owns the damaged vehicles, says he was shocked to discover debris scattered all over the road when he left his house. Both his personal vehicle and his work van were badly damaged. Anyone with additional information on the collision, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of it occurring, is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
