A man from Guelph has won a top prize with OLG’s Wild Cash Multiplier scratch ticket. Ronald M. of Guelph won $100,000. In a news release, OLG said he had been “a regular lottery player” for about six months. The 59-year-old said the ticket had been sitting in his workshop for a few days before he got around to playing it. When he saw he was holding a winner, he called his wife over. “I asked her, ‘Do you want to go down to Toronto?’” he said. “When she asked me why, I handed her the winning ticket and told her to scan it using the OLG app. As soon as she realized I won, she shouted, ‘Heck yes, I want to go to Toronto!’ She was incredibly excited and started dancing.” He plans to use some of the money to pay bills and complete some renovations to give his wife her dream kitchen. “I’m close to retirement, so the timing of this win is absolutely wonderful,” Ronald said.
