Braai House, a restaurant in Stratford, has been closed until further notice following a kitchen fire that broke out in the middle their dinner service Friday. Stratford Fire say the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. with a response of 14 firefighters to fight the flame. None of the approximately 90 people who were inside the restaurant at the time of the fire were injured. “We are incredibly thankful that no one was injured, and we extend our deepest gratitude to the fire department for their swift and professional response in extinguishing the fire,” Braai House said in a statement. “As a result, we will remain closed until further notice. Repairs are already underway, and our team is working around the clock to reopen as quickly and safely as possible.” Keystone Alley, Braai House’s sister restaurant that is located underneath the damaged restaurant, is also closed but is expected to reopen Tuesday. The cause of the fire and estimated cost of damage is still unknown.
