Cambridge resident and two Tillsonburg teens killed in crash near Woodstock

A Cambridge man has been identified as one of three people killed in a crash near Woodstock.

Two others were also taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Ontario Provincial Police said an SUV and transport truck collided around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street in Norwich Township.

The driver of the SUV was a 39-year-old man from Cambridge. OPP did not release his name.

Two teens travelling in the SUV, a 13-year-old and 17-year-old, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were from Tillsonburg.

OPP said two other passengers also had serious injuries. One was transported to hospital by Ornge Air Ambulance, while another was taken by ambulance. Police said their injuries remain life-threatening.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

“Investigators are asking residents and businesses, along with members of the motoring public, to check their security surveillance or dash camera footage in the event that they captured the collision or the vehicles involved,” OPP said in Wednesday’s media release.
