A 46-year-old Cambridge man faces 31 charges in connection with a series of retail thefts from local LCBO stores over a five-month span. Waterloo Regional Police said a suspect repeatedly targeted LCBO locations in Cambridge between January and May, stealing merchandise. On July 17, a member of the public spotted a man stealing items from a store on King Street East and called police. Officers located the suspect at the nearby Dumfries Conservation Area and arrested him. The man has been charged with 19 counts of theft under $5,000 and 12 counts of disguise with intent. He is scheduled to appear in court in Kitchener in October.
