Three people were injured after a two-vehicle collision closed an intersection in Cambridge early Monday morning. Around 3:15 a.m., emergency services responded to the crash involving a Toyota van and Volkswagen SUV, in the area of Maple Grove Road and Beaverdale Road. The driver of the van, a 29-year-old Cambridge man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said two youths were in the Volkswagen SUV and were also injured. One was transported to an out-of-region hospital and the second was transported to a local hospital. Both youths have non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection of Maple Grove Road and Beaverdale Road was closed for several hours as police investigated the crash. It reopened by the afternoon. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
