Business and driver charged in Erin traffic stop

A Brampton man and a business have been charged over concerns with a commercial vehicle.

The Ontario Provincial Police stopped the driver of a commercial vehicle on McCullogh Drive in Erin on Monday around 2:30 p.m.

During an inspection, the officer found several concerns and charged a 24-year-old man from Brampton. His charges include driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect in it or in a drawn vehicle, improper tires on a commercial motor vehicle and failure to accurately complete a daily inspection report.

A business was also charged with failure to ensure performance standards are met, failure to ensure a daily inspection is conducted properly and having improper tires on a commercial motor vehicle.
